YEAR 2

RSS TARTARUS AND THE ANCOR DATA EXHIBITION

The ANCOR (Anthropogenic Carbon Ocean Research) Exhibition is a travelling research expedition and exhibition capable of deploying directly from the RRS Tartarus into maritime cities. The exhibition comprises three modular inflatable building types and the research ship itself. The inflatables are designed to deliver a high environmental performance both in tropical climates and in the seasonal latitudes towards the poles, using only passive design principles.

Live carbon data will be streamed onto the building surfaces and overlaid with local environmental monitoring to directly, and analogously, inform the visitor of the processes affecting, and affected by, the global oceanic carbon cycle.
