YEAR 1

The project aims to experiment a new possibility of living in the Maldives. Starting from the energy concern and the dependency of the Archipelago regarding power, we decided to set up small floating tribes which would be developed to the rhythm of the sea level rise. The mass of the project are small floating modules able to produce water, food, living spaces and energy. The community exchanges with the land their basic goods for construction materials. 

 

All modules are built by the community on the main infrastructure: the Energy Farm. All other “micro-public” spaces are created by a free association process, like in an anarchic community: by assembling their modules. The project is therefore a prototype of autonomous floating tribes.
