The forefront of this proposal is to protect the city from natural disasters. The purpose of this project is to divert tsunamis originating from Sumatra or Java via a series of of elevated concrete platforms.Two main walls will act to defend these platforms. The first of which will face the Eastern Indian Ocean and function to dissipate the initial impact of the wave.
The structure of its form will divert oceanic convulsions from the island quite like that of the bow of a sea vessel. The second wall will minimize flooding by functioning as a canal – thus – diffusing the water trajectory back into the sea.
